Brunette appointed Aquionics Regional Sales Manager
Aquionics has appointed Greg Brunette as Regional Sales Manager for its municipal water and wastewater systems in the western region of North America. He will be responsible for growing sales through a combination of direct sales, building and managing a first-class distributor network and giving seminars and technical talks at conferences and sales meetings. Brunette will also be the ‘go to’ market expert for local representatives and industry leaders. With over 20 years’ experience in technical sales in the process industries, he knows the municipal market in the western United States and Canada very well. Brunette has presented papers at many of the leading regional shows and conferences, including HWEA and A&WMA. He joins Aquionics from Robinson Group LLC/Applied Filter Technology, Inc., where he was Western Regional Sales Manager. Holding a Bachelor of Business Administration Degreee (summa cum laude) from the University of Memphis, Brunette is also a member of the International Society of Automation (ISA).
Caligiuri appointed H&T VP
Hungerford & Terry, Inc. appointed Frank Caligiuri as Vice President of Sales, replacing Ken Sayell, who retired in May after 42 distinguished years with the company. Prior to joining the company in 1992, Caligiuri was employed by Penn Ventilator in 1991 in a technical management capacity and served as a Total Quality Management Program Facilitator. Early in his career, he received the Dale Carnegie accreditation for Sales and Public Speaking. Caligiuri pursued a degree in environmental engineering at Gloucester County Community College, NJ after receiving his degree from Brandywine College, Wilmington, DE. He was elected to the Monroe Township Council, Gloucester County for three consecutive terms, including two years as President and two years as Vice President. Caligiuri also served on the Monroe Township Planning Board and the Gloucester County Improvement Authority.
Carmer named Darlly Filter GM
Darlly Filter LLC has appointed Rodney Carmer as General Manager for the Western Hemisphere. He brings with him nearly 30 years’ experience in the filtration industry. With backgrounds in petroleum, residential/commercial/industrial water treatment and several other industries focusing on filtration, Carmer will ensure the success of Darlly Filter. Robert Potwora, Carbon Resources’ Technical Director, has been elected as Chairman of the ASTM International D-28 Activated Carbon Committee. The Committee continues work with development of test methods for activated carbons used to control mercury levels in flue gas. Chelsea Nunez was appointed Administrative Sales Support Coordinator for the Sales & Marketing Department. She brings with her great experience from the personal-care products manufacturing industry, with an emphasis on customer service, sales and marketing support. Nunez received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in business administration and marketing from California State University Northridge and is fluent in Spanish.
Kurdy named NSF Middle East Director
NSF International has appointed Christian Kurdy as Managing Director, NSF Middle East, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He will help guide the growth of the NSF’s operations throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region by providing consulting, testing, auditing and certification services for the water, food and beverage industries, as well as quality (QMS) and environmental management systems (EMS) registrations. Kurdy has more than 15 years of experience in the construction, energy, industrial manufacturing and quality systems sectors, throughout Europe and the Middle East and is fluent in English, French and Arabic. He graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Gestion in Paris, France with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in marketing and management and earned a Bachelor of Arts in international business from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion in Paris, France.

Pool sales team re-certified
Recreonics, Inc. announced its entire national sales team recently achieved re-certification through the Certified Pool/Spa Operator® (CPO®) certification program created by the National Swimming Pool Foundation® (NSPF®). The members completed the course through the blended Fusion™ program offered by NSPF. Each participant enrolled in the on-line Pool Operator Primer™ course and upon achieving a successful record of completion, completed a one-day CPO certification classroom course and test.
Cauble named to HydroNovation marketing staff
HydroNovation announced the addition of Alyssa Cauble as Marketing Communications Manager to support the commercialization of the new HydroDI water treatment product for residential and commercial markets. She has been appointed as part of a strategic initiative to drive brand awareness and will be responsible for elevating company communications, event planning and marketing initiatives. Cauble brings extensive experience in media and public relations and on-line marketing management. Prior to joining HydroNovation, she founded Alyssa Cauble Communications, supporting clean tech innovators in the San Francisco area and represented her local Toastmasters chapter as VP of Public Affairs. Cauble earned her BA Degree in political science and psychology from UC Davis.
IBWA VP named
The International Bottled Water Association named Kristin Pearson Wilcox IBWA Vice President of Government Relations. Her background includes extensive legislative and association experience in the food and beverage industry. Wilcox most recently served as Vice President of Government Affairs at the American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI) where she managed all legislative and lobbying activities, led a variety of coalitions, ran the political action committee and grassroots outreach campaigns. Her other areas of expertise include food labeling, food safety, health and nutrition claims, anti-obesity initiatives, environmental policy and sustainability issues.
