Side-stream ozone systems

Two new ozone systems are now available from Norland Intl. Inc. The OZ-25SSA produces enough ozone to treat up to 25 gallons (95 L) per minute and the OZ-50SSA can treat up to 50 gallons (189 L) per minute. These compact, platform-mounted systems deliver high ozone production at residual levels of from 0.1-0.4 mg/L. The systems utilize an air-cooled, patented Cold Spark corona discharge generator, which allows the production of a high concentration of ozone while generating very little heat. This eliminates the need for additional water-cooling mechanisms for the ozone tubes. The side-stream technology provides effective mixing and mass transfer of the ozone and product water prior to entering the bottle filler.
