Nanotechnology for arsenic adsorption Nanotechnology for arsenic adsorption Purolite Company announces a new arsenic adsorption medium. ArsenXnp, an ion exchange resin (IER), impregnated with nano-sized particles of iron, enabling it to be selective for trivalent and pentavalent arsenic with a capacity of up to 50,000 BVs. Physical characteristics are similar to traditional IER and provide high volume throughputs, translating into smaller footprint, lower pressure drops and the practical elimination of the need to backwash. It can be regenerated and/or disposed of, thereby reducing disposal and discharge issues. The NSF-approved product also removes chromium, vanadium, uranium, selenium and many other oxy-ions and can be retrofitted into existing GFO and GFH systems for increased capacity and throughputs. www.puroliteusa.com Sales@puroliteUSA.com |
