GE introduces its GXSH45V and GXSH40V model water softeners, which reduce hard water and give consumers the ability to easily monitor and adjust water softness. With capacities of 45,000 and 40,000 grains, respectively, the units feature an exclusive Custom Select™ blending valve that allows softness adjustment by simply turning a knob located near the bypass valve. SmartSoft™ technology learns water-use patterns in 30 days, while the system’s Salt Saver™ helps reduce salt consumption and uses up to 34 percent less salt.
