Ask The Expert: Finding the Light
Question: Where can I buy UV lamps? Eugene Harrison New York, N.Y.

Answer: There are several companies that produce UV disinfection lamps. Among them are Trojan Technologies, London, ONT, Canada; Calgon Carbon Corp., Pittsburgh, Pa.; Atlantic UV Corp., Hauppauge, NY; Ultraviolet Systems & Equipment, Houston, Texas; Phillips Lighting, Eindhoven, The Netherlands; and PURA Inc., Aquafine Corp. and UVDI—all of Valencia, Calif. Again, these are only a few of the many companies that make or provide such equipment. A broader listing can be found at our website under the "Buyer's Guide" button above. You can see specific products listed under the "New Products" (left) or "Product Trade Show" (above) buttons. You may need to go through a distributor or local dealer in order to acquire one. Have you checked your local phone book for "water treatment equipment"? You can probably check the company websites (do a search for the company name under your favorite search engine), which may have information on local distributor/dealers for their particular product lines. The Water Quality Association provides "Dealer Locater" button at its website: www.wqa.org You also can request a copy of WC&P's latest Buyer's Guide, which was out in late April and includes over 700 listings of companies, organizations and agencies serving the point-of-use/point-of-entry water treatment technology industry cross-referenced by product category and brand name. Contact Patricia Steiner or Laurie Savoie at info@wcponline.com for more on that. Hope that helps.
