Hydrogen sulfide (H2S)
A foul smelling gas, which strongly smells like rotten eggs, and is a product of the reduction of organic sulphur by anaerobic organisms. Also a corrosive and flammable gas produced from decaying organic matter and emitted during organic decomposition by a select group of bacteria. Commonly known as "sulfur".
