Microfiltration
The use of microporous filters operating under pressure to remove particles or microorganisms of 0·1-5·0 µm size from process and effluent liquids a membrane based fluid treatment technology, employing all the parameters of other membrane technologies, but with a larger pore size. Operating parameters are similar to those for U/F, but pore sizes are larger.
