Molecular weight cutoff (MWCO)
Referred to as the molecular weight above which a certain percentage (e.g., >90 percent) of the solute in the feed solution is rejected by the membrane. It is typically expressed in units of Daltons and used as an indication of the pore size of ultrafiltration and nanofiltration membranes.
