The WAVE tool has been beta-launched to a pilot group of DW&PS customers and is expected to launch commercially in 2015. It is currently available in various flowrates with filter cut-offs from 10 to 55 microns to meet specific customer needs. Applications range from pretreatment for ultrafiltration and RO to filtering produced water for oil and gas.

Dow Water Solutions' FILMTEC(TM) SW30XHR-400i and SW30ULE-400i eight-inch (203.2 mm) salt water reverse osmosis membranes, especially suited for low-temperature seawater desalination and high TDS brackish water systems, offer 99.8 and 99.7 percent salt rejection, respectively. SW30XHR-400i elements offer a guaranteed active area of 400 square feet (37.16 m2) flow rate of 6,000 gpd (22,712.47 L/d) and remove boron and other dissolved solids. SW30ULE-400i elements have a flow rate of 11,000 gpd (41,639.52 L/d).
