Wastewater treatment GE membrane
GE Power & Water introduces the latest in membrane-based wastewater treatment technology, combining anaerobic digestion technology with its ZeeWeed 500 membranes to create anaerobic membrane bioreactor (AnMBR). The technology reduces energy consumption, provides energy recovery and reduces sludge production both economically and reliably. It separates solids retention time from hydraulic retention time for a more robust biological process, retaining methanogens in anaerobic reactor, increasing methane production with no suspended solids in permeate and improving final effluent quality.

The low-fouling RO membrane resists degradation from water containing bacteria, colloids and other materials that foul and shorten membrane element life. It can reduce the time between cleanings by up to 50 percent, although actual results will vary with specific application conditions. www.ge.comGE Power & Water’s AG LF Series membranes purify tough-to-treat water, such as wastewater from industrial processes.
