The titration system determines conductivity, pH value and alkalinity, and IC instruments provide analysis for common anions (F-, Cl-, NO2-, etc.) and cations (Na+, NH4+, Mg2+, etc.). By combining the IC and titration results, the system can also provide results for total hardness, ion balance and carbonate hardness. Mettler-Toledo Ingold has a new technology platform for the reliable measurement of turbidity in hygienic applications, the InPro 8600 Series. Sensors are based on combined 25 (forward)/90 (sideward) scattered light technology, which enable measurements in liquids which appear clear to the human eye. Distinction between turbidity caused by colloidal and larger particles is made possible with the dual-angle measurement. The unit, designed as a single-head sensor, uses plug-and-measure technology for fast installation and setup.
