 The Aquatic Risk Management (ARM) online training course developed by the National Swimming Pool Foundation® (NSPF®) is now available in Spanish and can be accessed on the NSPF website. The course features video, images, narration and exercises, and includes the Aquatic Risk Management Handbook in Spanish.  The National Swimming Pool Foundation® (NSPF®) announces a free online training course to educate health officials and pool and spa professionals about the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (P&SS Act). This course ensures that the requirements of the act are properly understood, how to identify and perform required steps for inspection, and how to bring pools and spas into compliance. The interactive course features narration, images and video and includes practice exercises.  The National Swimming Pool Foundation® introduces its latest course, Aquatic Facility Audits, to help managers, operators and service professionals view the facilities they operate with a fresh eye, focused on reducing risk. The interactive course allows participants to work at their own pace through a series of topics that includes content in eight key areas, with sample checklists and reporting forms. It steps participants through key areas to audit, and learners are taught how to actually plan and conduct a safety audit. The course also teaches how to formulate corrective action, write audit reports, and conduct follow-ups to ensure the desired corrective actions are taken.

 A new Pool Chemical iPhone® App from the National Swimming Pool Foundation® (NSPF®) makes chemical dosing easier, faster and more accurate, and will perform calculations for up to 66,000,000 gallons (249.8 million liters) of water. Several built-in tools help properly calculate the necessary amounts of many chemical adjustments to achieve required levels. The user-friendly interface includes pre-loaded formulas, organized by category, and a notes field allows users to store additional information about chemical formulas.

Topics include illness prevention, the benefits of regular swimming to improve health, the Federal Pool & Spa Safety Act from the Consumer Product Safety Commission and much more. The organization's 33-page Aquatic Risk Management handbook (volume one of the new Aquatic Management Series(TM)) is written as a guide to help pool and spa managers and operators through the process of reducing injury and liability risk in and around facilities. The stand-alone training module instructs how to identify, analyze and take steps to reduce or eliminate exposures to loss faced by an organization or individual.
