 Severn Trent Services introduces an autonomous-duty/standby booster-pump skid system with PID pressure control. Designed to maintain constant water pressure into ClorTec® on-site sodium hypochlorite generating systems under varying flow-demand requirements, the system will automatically adjust itself to accommodate different flow requirements, whether it runs one or a number of on-site generators at once. The new booster-pump design is able to maintain constant water pressure under varying flow-demand requirements, is user-friendly, compact and able to provide energy savings. Available only in North and South American, Middle Eastern, African and Asia Pacific markets.

 Severn Trent Services offers three additional Series KC4000 measuring cells, used in conjunction with the MicroChem®2 transmitter/controller to measure residual chlorine (free and total), chlorine dioxide, ozone, iodine and bromine. No pH correction is needed when measuring free chlorine (pH 4 to 7.5), chlorine dioxide, or ozone. Optional pH, conductivity and/or ORP measurements are also available, and can be measured simultaneously with most KC versions. The expanded cells include a measuring cell for low-pressure samples at 0.1 to 0.5 bar (1.4 to 7 psig), a cell with IP 66 case that provides protection against dust and water, and a cell for hot-water applications at 35.6 to 149°F (2 to 5°C). They are mounted on a differential pressure regulator and include a PT100 temperature probe and operate in a sample range of 0.5 to 4 bar (7 to 60 psig) and temperature from 35.6 to 104°F (2 to 40°C).

 Severn Trent Services introduces Capital Controls" T70GS4000, a new mini-chlorine dioxide generator for Legionella control in cooling water and building services industries. With a generating range of two gpd to 10 gph (7.57 L/d to 37.85 L/h), the equipment can be used for safe, on-demand production of chlorine dioxide where very low dosage rates are required. It can be used for primary water disinfection, THM reduction, iron and manganese removal in potable water treatment and wastewater treatment. Larger models feature a range of two gpd to 10,000 gph (7.57 L/d to 7,854.11 L/h).

 Severn Trent Services introduces the MicroScatterT 90 turbidity meter, ideal for use with clean water and all types of raw water in municipal and industrial applications. It is designed to monitor turbidity ranging from 0-200 NTU and the sensors are U.S. EPA Method 180.1 and ISO 7027 compliant. The turbidimeter systems are available pre-mounted on a back panel and fully wired, requiring only sample water and return lines. Sensors can be located up to 50 ft. (15.2 m) from the analyzer. The easy-to-use system is menu-prompted for simple setup, calibration and operation. Options include a fully programmable alarm board for high/low logic and dead band.

 Severn Trent Services has obtained NSF certification for its ClorTec" line of on-site sodium hypochlorite generation systems. The NSF/ANSI Standard 50, Circulation System Components and Related Materials for Swimming Pools, Spas/Hot Tubs is applicable to the MCT and CT models, up to 300 lbs/day capacity, within the ClorTec product line. Benefits of the ClorTec system include its safe and reliable chlorine process, low operating and maintenance costs and low raw materials usage. The system also reduces the cost of pH adjustment and eliminates dependence on chemical suppliers. |

 Severn Trent Services has expanded its Leadership line of water meters with the new SmartMeter SM700. With either replaceable batteries to reduce the whole life cost of the meter, or an encapsulated battery for superior performance in underwater applications, the SmartMeter features fluidic oscillation technology, a Severn Trent-pioneered system, for which a new standard was recently approved by the AWWA. The technology makes it possible for the meter to provide an accurate reading despite the presence of air in the water, eliminates accuracy problems that result from sand and grit and is available in a fully AMR format using inductive pads and radio attachments though the encoded meter version. The meter is also available in a basic read model. |

 Severn Trent Services has introduced Bayoxideﾮ E33P, a pelletized version of the granular Bayoxideﾮ E33 arsenic removal media. The pelletized formulation features improved product handling and requires less frequent backwashing than its predecessor, yet offers the same arsenic removal capability as the original granular formation. The media has obtained NSF Standard 61 certification and is proven to remove arsenic to below the new federal maximum contaminant level of 10 ppb. |
