Flowrate transmitters |
Universal Flow Monitors introduces seven battery-powered CoolPoint™ vortex-shedding flowmeters for water, chemicals and corrosives. Designed for situations without nearby power or where it would be cost prohibitive to wire the monitoring station, the units run on three AA alkaline batteries or lithium batteries. These flowmeters range from 0.25 to 2 inches (6.35 to 50.8 mm), with maximum flow ranges from four to 200 gpm (15 to 757 liters/min.), maximum pressure of 300 psi and temperature ranges from 32 to 210ºF (zero to 98.8ºC). Users may select the flow to be expressed in gallons, liters or cubic meters per minute. Features include brass or 316 SS bodies with viton seals and PVDF sensors, flow repeatability is +/- 0.25 percent and turndown ratio 10:1. www.flowmeters.com, ufm@flowmeters.com |

Universal Flow Monitors, Inc.’s P420 vortex-shedding flowrate transmitters meet desalination industry requirements for an inexpensive monitor without moving parts that can stick, bind or coat. These inline-mounting-type flowmeters are available in PVC and CPVC models with no O-ring seals (solvent socket or NPT connection). They are offered in six pipe sizes from 3/8-inch to two inches, providing full-scale flowrates from six to 200 gpm (2.27 to 750 Lpm). Electronic output is from a four to 20 mA two-wire transmitter. Response time is 0.9 seconds. Accuracy is +/-2 percent of full scale. Turndown is 10:1. P420 flowrate transmitters are offered at the same low cost as paddlewheel meters, without the added costs of periodic replacement of the paddlewheels. www.flowmeters.com, ufm@flowmeters.com |

Flow meter literature |
Universal Flow Monitors, Inc. offers CoolPoint(TM) Totalizing Series vortex shedding flowmeters and new literature. The electronic instruments have no moving parts to stick or coat and can process water, coolant or fluids that may contain particles. Features include 0.75-, one-, 1.5- and two-inch (19.05, 25.4, 38.1, 50.8 mm) pipe sizes for flows ranging from 25-200 gpm (95-750 L/m); six-digit LED, pulse output and push-button selection for gallons or liters per minute. Units provide flow accuracy of ± 1.5 percent of indicated total. Maximum operating pressure is 300 psi (20 Bar) and turndown is 10:1. Bodies are constructed of brass or 316 SS with PVDF sensors and Viton® seals. The stainless steel models are designed for low-viscosity corrosive fluids and water with chemicals added. A product bulletin and installation/operation manual is available on the website. Scroll to 'Water Flow Meter' and select the bulletin and manual under 'Literature' section.

Universal Flow Monitors, Inc. introduces the latest literature for its P420 Series plastic, vortex-shedding flow rate transmitters for corrosive fluids, water, brine and low-viscosity fluids in water treatment, chemical and desalination applications. It focuses on benefits and features of plastic-construction flow meters and is complemented by application information; electrical, material, instrument and installation specifications; maximum pressure tables; operating temperatures and pressure drops and ordering information. The guide provides information on transmitters with wetted parts entirely of either polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) for greater heat resistance.
