Biography of John A Gavin

From WC&P, Oct 1973, Culligan Elects New Chairman And President: Gavin is a graduate of DePaul University with a B.S. degree in Commerce. He joined Culligan in 1940 in the accounting department, advanced to credit manager, purchasing agent, and production manager. He was elected an officer and director of the company in 1945. Gavin begins his new responsibilities as President on November first. He is a member of the Chicago Association of Commerce and Industry, the Executive Club of Chicago and the North Shore Country Club.
