Biography of Richard F Weickart

From Water Conditioning, June 1978: Richard Weickart, recently head of technical activities for the Water Quality Association, died in his sleep on Tuesday, April 25th, one day before what would have been his 53rd birthday. Dick, who started full-time employment with WQA two and one-half years ago, ran Allied Laboratories for many years prior to his official WQA capacity. Through Allied, he conducted softener tests under the S-100 standards. He also represented the industry before government and technical bodies, and helped esrablish most of the product standards and guidelines for the water conditioning industry. Dick Weickart was an admirable, respected gentleman, devoted to his six children and wife Joyce. His contributions to his community and his profession will long be remembered.
