Also operates Deep Rock Water Company, selling bottled artesian and distilled water, selling and renting water coolers. Goal is to become a "Department Store for Water." University of Nebraska graduate, is considered an excellent businessman. Wife, Dorie, is vivacious, out-going, complementing his shy, somewhat reserved demeanor. has two daughters. Very active in civic, church affairs.

These are three of many superlatives that apply to the new president of the Water Conditioning Association International. He's a Culligan dealer in Santa Cruz, California with a 24-year record of successful business operation. McCommon, long active in the Pacific Water Conditioning Association as a director, has served WCAI as a director, then vice president. He is a pilot and, as they will attest in Mexico and Hawaii, an expert fisherman. Usually accompanied by his vivacious wife, Midge, McCommon is a familiar visitor at virtually all industry functions.
